Yoga Nidra, translated to "yogic sleep," is a specific guided meditation technique that induces a state of deep relaxation, somewhere between sleeping and awake. It’s practiced lying down in shavasana.
As your guide, I will lead you through intention setting, awareness of your body and breath, as well as visualizations and sensations.
Not only is it deeply relaxing (it is said just 20 minutes of yoga nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep!) It’s also a powerful tool for self reflection, expansion of consciousness, and healing.
Private Yoga Nidra sessions offer:
Creating a Safe and Comfortable Environment: You may feel more secure and able to relax fully in your home compared to a group class. This can be particularly beneficial for those who are new to the practice or have sensitivities.
Personalized Attention: A private session allows me to tailor the practice specifically to your individual needs, goals, and current state. We will work closely to craft a powerful and personalized sankalpa (a heartfelt intention) that resonates deeply. This means the guidance, visualizations, and intentions can be more relevant and impactful for you.
Deeper Exploration: With one-on-one guidance, you might feel more comfortable exploring deeper emotional or psychological layers that arise during the practice. A private session in your home provides a safe and supportive space for this exploration and time to process what may come up.
Addressing Specific Issues: If you're dealing with particular challenges like anxiety, insomnia, trauma, or chronic pain, a private session can be designed to address these directly. I will incorporate my wide knowledge of techniques and themes to support your healing and well-being.

Personalized Consultation: We'll begin with a conversation to understand your interests, intentions, and state of mind on the day of your session.
Customized Practice: Based on our discussion, I'll design a yoga nidra meditation that meets your unique needs and can evolve with you over time.
In-Home Convenience: For those of you on the North Shore and in the Chicago area, enjoy the comfort and ease of practicing in your own sanctuary. No travel, just step onto your mat and breathe.
Virtual Connection: Yoga Nidra works beautifully over the phone or zoom! Because all you need is a comfortable place to lie down and listen to the meditation.
What you need for a private Yoga Nidra session:
A Quiet Space: Choose a spot in your home where you lie down. A bed, a couch, or the floor works best. Have pillows for support and a blanket to cover you.
Comfortable Clothing: Wear clothes that are easy to rest in.

Virtual Private Yoga Nidra
Practice anywhere in the world. Sessions held on zoom or other agreed upon calling service such as FaceTime or WhatsApp.

Group Sessions
Want to practice with a spouse of a friend? Please add $15 per person, per session. Private Yoga Nidra sessions can accommodate up to 3 people. If you have more than 3 people, please schedule a private workshop.
Cancelations
I understand that life doesn’t always go as we plan.
If you need to cancel, please contact me at least 24 hours before your session to reschedule. I’m happy to work with you to find a time that will work. If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you may be subject to a $40 cancelation fee. If you don’t show for your session without any communication, you will be responsible for the full fee or forfeit the session from your package.
If I need to cancel, I will contact you with at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or refund you if applicable. Thank you for understanding and respecting the value of our time and energy.
